Álvaro Quirós has been resting for the last two weeks, so I hope he will be in Akron playing with his full batteries, and improving his ranking position. After winning the Open de España, his game became a bit irregular, although he has achieved two nearly top10 in his last two events on Tour. Gonzo is a well talented player. But congratulations to Ross Fisher on the win all the same. I too watched the Matchplay last year, I know you were at it so got to see first hand how Ross disassembled Anthony Kim, a fine display by Fisher and something he can fall back on in the Ryder Cup. Nice positive play from Gonzo also, I really like his short game, he got up and down very well from the bunker on 17. I'm a bit surprised at the lack of Spaniards in the Ryder Cup team so far? Spain has a lot of absolute top class talent, where's Alvaro Quiros? If it wasn't for the ever popular MA Jiminez there'd be no one, very surprising...
